Because all Quality Doors cabinet doors and drawer fronts are custom made to your individual specifications, accurate measurements are critical to achieving the quality results you're looking for. So before you order, measure. Then measure again. With a few simple tools and a little time you can help insure that your cabinets have that custom-made look and feel.

Tools you'll need to measure:
• tape measure • pencil • scratch pad • order form

Download order form here. FAX - Email - or Mail (info at page bottom)

Remember, you can mix and match mullion and frame only doors with any of our doors.
Please specify only one wood and finish color per order.

This method allows for a 1/2" overlay of cabinet openings. Make sure there is at least 5/8" clearing around all openings.Instructions are based on using Quality Doors’ #900, 900B or 900C hinges.

Measuring Openings: Always write the width first. .
• Measure all door openings, including drawer fronts and false fronts, to the nearest 1/8” and write sizes on a scratch pad (F.1 and F.2). To prevent ordering errors, it’s best to measure each opening twice.
DOORS AND DRAWER FRONTS WILL BE CUSTOM - MADE TO THE SIZES YOU SPECIFY
.
DO NOT ORDER BY OPENING SIZES.

Figuring Order Sizes:
• Add 1” to the width and 1” to the height of each opening size. When figuring “ORDERNG SIZE” for split door openings (two doors covering the same opening), add 1” to the height; then add 1” to the width and divide by 2 and subtract 1/1 6. This allows for 1/8” gap between doors. Enter final sizes on order form.
Split Door Example: 36”+1”=37”, 37”χ2”=181/2”, 181/2”-1/1 6”=187/1 6”
ORDER TWO DOORS TO COVER ANY OPENING MORE THAN 22” WIDE.

Ordering:
• Use the order form to enter actual custom sizes you wish to order.

Mullion and Frame Only Doors: Glass not included with Mullion or Frame Only Doors.
• On the order form under options, enter(FO) for frame only, enter(ML) for mullions plus the number of lites (openings). See example below.

When ordering special designs:(#389,#388,#382), indicate door design and edge design along with numbers of lites (openings).

• Lazy Susan or special edge doors: Indicate requirements under options and attach a special note on ordering form.

• Boring for arched doors (like door design #301): Indicate under options (BL)bore left (hinge on left),(BR)bore right (hinge on right), (BP) bore in pairs. See example below.

Note: Skip this step if you have decided to paint your existing cabinet boxes

• Face frames are the front frames where cabinet doors and drawer fronts attach. It is not necessary to measure face frames surrounding cabinet openings. Most professionals order one 2’ x 8’ sheet of self-adhesive covering (SAC) for every 10 doors (based on an average-size door of 15 x 25). (Example: for 15 doors order 2 sheets) Order more if you plan to cover other large areas. Enter SAC-Wo od for real wood veneer or SAC-RTF for RTF self-adhesive covering under design on order form.

• When ordering a door to cover end panels, indicate 115 square edge in the option portion of the ordering form.

• We suggest cut-to-size plywood to cover end panels instead of ordering self-adhesive covering (SAC). Order by entering “ plywood” under design on the ordering form.

•Double-check all measurements. Make sure you’ve ordered everything you need, including hinges, trim moulding and decorative accents.
• It’s a good idea to order a touch-up kit so that you can easily cover up any little dings that occur in the course of installation or use.
• It will take approximately three to four weeks for your custom order to arrive at your retailer.
